The Employment and Skills Team delivers a range of support programmes to help people prepare for work, find work, and stay in work.

Our voluntary, impartial and confidential employment projects can provide one to one support to:

  • Understand the job market and access training and job opportunities

  • Improve your interview techniques

  • Address any barriers to employment around health, housing, debt or skills

  • Develop your confidence and self esteem

  • Gain information, advice and support regarding benefits and Universal Credit

  • Fulfil your obligations in your Claimant Commitment with Jobcentre Plus

  • Discover what the growth industries and skill demands are in your area

  • Improve your job search and application forms

  • Help with number, writing and listening skills

  • Increase your wellbeing and happiness
