Diabetic Eye Screening Programme
Our service provides free NHS diabetic eye screening for everyone aged 12 years and over with diabetes. The aim of screening is to detect diabetic retinopathy at an early stage, when treatment is most effective, helping to prevent sight loss.
We cover Newcastle, North Tyneside, Gateshead and Northumberland, working closely with local healthcare professionals, communities, and support groups to make screening accessible for all.
