Parkvale is located in central Whitley Bay and provides residential care for adults with mental health issues and mild, moderate and acute learning disabilities. The management and staff have particular expertise in supporting the community presence of individuals whose behaviour may place themselves or others at risk.

The three-storey property can accommodate up to seven adults, male only, and consists of seven single rooms located to the first and second floors, with access to separate bathroom and toilet facilities on each floor.

To the ground floor there is a lounge, dining room, communal kitchen, conservatory and separate laundry facilities. The home has a small town garden to the front and an enclosed courtyard to the rear which is accessible to service users.

Due to the layout of the property, there are no accessible rooms at Parkvale for people with mobility issues.

The services at Parkvale are related to the continued rehabilitation of learning disabled people in to the community, and we believe such inclusion in social activities is central to the continued growth and development of each person. Parkvale is dedicated to supplying care of the highest standards for all of our service users. This will ensure that those who are placed in our care have their physical, mental, emotional and social needs met.
