We’re specialists in mental health, alcohol, drugs and related areas. Our high quality, evidence-based services are designed around the needs of the people we serve. We know that people and their problems don’t fit into neatly labelled boxes. And that finding help can be hard when life gets messy. Too many people hit dead ends when they need open doors and answers.
That’s where Waythrough comes in.
Our history
In December 2023 Humankind and Richmond Fellowship announced the decision to merge to form a new national charity to better support people facing multiple disadvantage.
The organisations legally merged June 2024, with Aquarius as a subsidiary. In October we became Waythrough.
We couldn't be more proud to have around 3,200 employees and 500 volunteers supporting over 120,000 people every year in 260 diverse services across England.
What we do
We’re aiming to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. Over the years we’ve developed an array of support services to do that – and become specialists in mental health, alcohol, drugs and related areas along the way.
Defining our support
Our high quality, evidence-based services are designed around the needs of the people we serve. As Waythrough we can now work with our commissioners, partners and the people we support to stitch those services together and develop new integrated ones. Whilst we know that people and their problems don’t fit into neatly labelled boxes we sometimes have to use them to describe our services!
