The Children and Young People's Support Workers carry out one to one sessions with young people in the community and within schools where counselling is not appropriate or where a different approach will benefit the young person. The focus of this work is safety and healthy relationships, and various fun activities are provided to support the young person with their feelings about their experiences of domestic or sexual abuse, to help them make sense of what has happened, which in turn reduces the confusion and fear they may be experiencing, and improve their safety.

Where a young person has experienced or is at risk of experiencing domestic and sexual abuse we can offer information, advice, support, safety planning and advocacy on a one to one basis to increase their safety and offer emotional support. We also carry out group work in schools and community settings to increase young people's knowledge of healthy and unhealthy relationships.

We offer training for other professionals and organisations to share best practice.
